Sustainable travel to and from abroad
For those who have been granted a studies or internship at one of our partner universities covered by the Erasmus+ program (usually institutions within the EU/EEA), or who have been accepted to a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) - there is the possibility of receiving compensation for sustainable travels.
If you choose a more environmentally friendly mode of transportation for the majority of your trip (both outbound and inbound), you may be eligible for additional compensation for green travel:
- A top-up grant of 50 euros for a sustainable travel option
- Up to 4 extra travel days added into the scholarhip period
If you choose to travel green, you need to notify us at the International Office because we need to include this in the calculation of your compensation. You will also need to submit evidence to support the green mode of transportation.
Environmentally friendly modes of transportation (green travel) can include:
- Bus
- Train
- Car with at least 2 people (car-pooling)
