HV Play is managed by the Division of Educational Support and Development at the University West. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. We continuously work to ensure that the HV Play website meets the legal requirements.

Accessibility in HV Play

The HV Play website (hvplay.hv.se) is a product based on the Kaltura MediaSpace Video Portal. The product is designed and developed in accordance with accessibility recommendations and is largely compliant with the international standard Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 Level AA. However, we are aware that we currently do not meet all the requirements in accordance with the Law (2018:1937) on accessibility to digital public services. The website is partially compliant with the law on accessibility to digital public services due to the deficiencies described below.

Content that is not accessible - known deficiencies

The content described below is not fully accessible in one way or another.

  • Some user-generated videos on the website published after September 23, 2020, lack captions or do not meet the recommendations for accessible captions in accordance with WCAG 1.2.2 (A).
  • Some user-generated videos on the website lack audio descriptions and are not accessible in accordance with WCAG 1.2.5 (AA).

How we tested the website

We have conducted a self-assessment of the website. We have also reviewed the system provider's documentation on the accessibility of the platform's technology and interface.

What can you do if you cannot use HV Play?

If you need content from HV Play that is not accessible to you but is exempt from the scope of the law as described below, you can contact us by emailing servicecenter@hv.se or calling 0520-22 30 00.

Report deficiencies

We strive to continuously improve the accessibility of HV Play and address known issues. If you encounter problems that are not described on this page or if you believe that we do not meet the requirements of the law, please email servicecenter@hv.se to let us know about the problem.

Supervision

Agency for Digital Government (DIGG) is responsible for the supervision of the law on accessibility to digital public services. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your notification of accessibility issues or your request for accessible content, you can report it to the Swedish Agency for Digital Government.
